What We Do
ABA Senegal provides intensive, long-term therapy programs for children with autism in Dakar, Senegal.
"ABA" stands for Applied Behavior Analysis, which is a method used in many socio-behavioral therapies. Therapies that use ABA have been found to be one of the most effective models for children diagnosed with ASD (autism spectrum disorder). Here at ABA Senegal we specialize in facilitating communication via naturalistic play-based methods that follow the pre-existing and self-directed motivations of the child. We also provide intensive school support. All services are supervised by a licenced and certified behavior analyst. To learn more about our services, click here.
ABA therapy can improve language and communication skills, pro-social skills (like turn-taking and acting on empathy appropriately), learned skills (like academics and modified curriculums), self-care skills (like getting dressed), generalization of these skills across people and environments, and addressing harmful or injurious behaviors. Our Mission
Our goal is to aid in the creation of stimulating and engaging learning environments for all students. We create spaces in which all children with autism are recognized, respected, and accepted. We will always advocate for the needs, complexity, diversity, strengths, and interests found within our students.
We realize these goals through sensitive staff training and intensive parent coaching.
As we grow, we will contribute to the dissemination of evidence-based teaching methods and offer educational training and career development opportunities through our association.
